Highly intelligent AFL commentator, David King has exposed a stunning statistical trend shared amongst Premiership winning teams.
In a special edition of the Fox Footy Lab, King left viewers speechless with the revelation that the team which scores the most total points in the Grand Final will almost always be victorious.
“I was amazed to find out how many teams with a higher score than the opposition ended up winning the Grand Final” said King.
“We’ve been working overtime in The Lab, and even summoned some analysis from The War Room to deliver this exclusive”.
“Thanks for that incredible insight Kingy” replied Eddie McGuire.
“How about that boys, the Giants just need to outscore Richmond and they should win their first granny!” said Eddie to his equally astonished Fox Footy colleagues.
King has been providing groundbreaking observations in the Fox Footy Lab for several years now, which has often involved circling players on screen and drawing arrows to show the direction they are running in case it wasn’t clear enough when watching the footage.
The analytical segment during Fox Footy coverage was previously known as ‘The War Room’ before executives decided that the name wasn’t quite pretentious enough.
“We felt ‘The Lab’ better described the cutting-edge, scientific analysis our viewers experience” a Fox Footy executive told Seems Legit.
“We assume David King is some sort of distinguished scientist as well as AFL champion given his ability to draw lines on a paused screen that show the trajectory of the ball. Very scientific stuff!
“Before that people would have to watch the game to see where the ball was kicked, which seems pretty archaic and boring now doesn’t it?”.
