Greater Western Sydney’s 27-point win has largely been overshadowed by a frightening incident, in which Brisbane’s, Harris Andrews slammed his head right into the elbow of star Giants forward, Jeremy Cameron.
“These sorts of despicable acts have no place in our game” said a source from GWS.
“As you can see in the replay, Jeremy is just trying to compete in a marking contest, when Harris Andrews, who isn’t even facing the ball, headbutts him right in the elbow”.
While Cameron bravely played out the rest of the game, it’s widely expected that he’ll now have a lengthy stint on the sidelines
“He’s likely to miss more than a month of football because of this” said the club source.
Several commentators have drawn comparisons to Peter Caven’s infamous headbutt on Tony Lockett’s elbow back in 1994.
“You can certainly see the similarities” one pundit told Seems Legit.
“It’s amazing that fair players like Jeremy Cameron are still dealing with the same thuggery that squeaky-clean Tony Lockett endured more than two decades ago”.
Seems Legit attempted to question Andrews upon learning that the dirty sniper had fled to a nearby hospital to hide out shortly after the incident.
However, the maniac just lay in a bed motionless refusing to explain his cowardly attack.
