Robert Walls Stands By Claim That Eagles Will Win The Wooden Spoon

Robert Walls Eagles Wooden Spoon

Despite sitting on top of the ladder with 8 wins from 9 games, AFL legend and part time fortune teller, Robert Walls hasn’t backed down from his pre-season prediction that the West Coast Eagles will finish last in 2018.

“Yeah, they’ll get the spoon” said Walls.

“It’s still mathematically possible”

“Well I think so, I don’t actually know how to do maths”.

Walls, who apparently still gets paid by someone to give his opinion, wasn’t at all impressed with West Coast’s 47-point demolition of reigning premier, Richmond.

“The Tigers were missing Cyril Rioli for one thing” said Walls, whom we at least hope was referring to Daniel Rioli rather than Cyril, a Hawthorn player for his entire career.

“And it was played in Perth, which is a hugely unfair advantage. I wasn’t aware the Eagles were allowed to play home games when I made my tip.

“In fact, all of their wins have been very lucky. Either they’ve been home games, which as I’ve stated is obviously unfair, or the other team hasn’t played as well as the Eagles that day.

“So if you take that into account, they’re really struggling this year.

“That game they lost, that was the real Eagles. Take a look at that one, they were absolute rubbish.

“Or so I assume, I didn’t watch it and I’m not sure who they lost to”.

Fascinated by the prophetic abilities of the man, Seems Legit couldn’t help but ask Mr Walls if he had any other insightful predictions he’d like to share with us.

“Yeah well I reckon the ‘We want Wallsy back’ campaign will gain so much momentum that Fox Footy begs me to return to On The Couch.

“Other than that, I think Wayne Carey will be the new face of the AFL Women’s Round after many years of taking a very hands-on role with numerous women around the country.

“And I expect Michael Christian to get a big contract extension after some terrific work as the AFL Match Review Officer”.
