‘Was Jeffrey Dahmer The First Victim Of Cancel Culture?’ – By Andrew Bolt

Dahmer

Infamous contrarian, Andrew Bolt, volunteers as a guest writer for Seems Legit to voice his surprising take on Jeffrey Dahmer

The new Netflix show, Dahmer, explores one of the great tragedies of the 20th century, but it appears that many have completely missed the point.

The key message of the TV show, is that everyone assumed he was a killer based purely on overwhelming evidence and his own confession; but let’s have a look at the facts.

Jeffrey was a young man who had a difficult upbringing. He showed an admirable passion for science, commitment to physical fitness, and while I wouldn’t call him an animal lover as such, he certainly displayed an interest in them.

Dahmer even exhibited a talent in comedy during high school, before making the commendable decision to serve in the army; not that anyone thanked him for his service. Sure, he may have occasionally enjoyed a few too many beers, but who can honestly say they haven’t at times.

Despite all these qualities, the media jumped on the narrative that he was a vicious killer before he’d even had a trial, and the public all accepted their despicable portrayal.

At this point I’d like to note one other important fact about the man; he was white. Is that the reason he was ‘cancelled’ by the media, robbing him of the opportunity for a fair trial? I’ll let you be the judge.

Jeffrey Dahmer was murdered in prison nearly three decades ago following the disturbing events I’ve detailed here. While we know it’s a scary world we live in today, perhaps the horrors of ‘cancel culture’ have been with us for much longer than we thought.
